I am extremely excited about this week’s challenge, not only because of the theme (I ♥ black & white!), but because this week’s guest photographer judge is non-other than Tara Whitney – whose work I absolutely adore!!!

WOW! The minute I looked at this photo I though about my neighbour town and their old train station, it looks EXACTLY like this one! then I did a bit of digging around on your Photography site and discover you are in Alberta, right? I am in Saskatchewan! so no wonder why the similarities! Awesome to find some fellow Canadians in here, I have the feeling there isn’t very many of us, eh?

Anyway . . . GREAT photo and Good luck! Have a wonderful day!

It’s dramatic alright, Kristina! Great shot. Love it. The eye follows the slanted lines right to the couple with the stove pipe adding some tension. That’s one of the reasons the composition works. The fact that it’s a candid gives it an element of mystery, like in …..”what the heck….?”
